The Hart County Chamber of Commerce is organizing a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Hartwell Family Clinic, a new primary care facility aimed at providing healthcare services to the Hartwell community. The event will occur on Monday, April 14, at 11:30 a.m. at 1087 E. Franklin Street, Hartwell, GA. Following the ceremony, an open house with refreshments will be held until 1:00 p.m.

Hartwell Family Clinic is managed by Elbert Memorial Hospital and focuses on delivering personalized care for adults in Hartwell and nearby areas. The clinic signifies the hospital's effort to expand patient-centered healthcare access.

The clinic offers various adult healthcare services, including routine check-ups, wellness exams, women's health services, chronic illness management, vaccinations, and sick visits.

The clinic's leadership includes Dr. Takaya Jones, MD, FAAFP, a board-certified family physician with over 16 years of experience. Dr. Jones aims to build strong patient relationships and utilizes a holistic care approach, focusing on chronic disease management, women's health, and mental health.

Dr. Jones is joined by Kaelan Woodall Dawson, DNP, AGACNP-BC, hailing from Elbert County, who has extensive experience in trauma, emergency medicine, and internal medicine.
