A new workforce development initiative, "Workforce Wednesdays," is set to launch in Hart County on April 9, 2025. The program was developed by the Poverty Task Force with facilitation from the Archway Partnership. Collaborators include Hart IBA, the Hart County Chamber of Commerce, WorkSource Georgia Mountains, WorkSource Georgia, and the Technical College System of Georgia, along with committed community members.
The initiative targets unemployed individuals seeking to re-enter the workforce, job seekers looking for local full-time opportunities, and professionals aiming to advance their careers. Workforce Wednesdays will be held on the second Wednesday of each month from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Adult Learning Center located at 110 Benson St., Hartwell, GA.
Participants can expect assistance with resume building and updates, local career exploration, job application support, interview preparation, and skill development. Local businesses and community members are encouraged to promote and support this workforce development effort.
