Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) has distributed a donation of 1,000 units of naloxone to organizations within Georgia's First Congressional District. The donation was facilitated by Walgreens and aims to support efforts in combating drug overdoses.

The naloxone units were divided among three locations: Ware State Prison, Anchored Wellness in Jesup, and Gateway Community Service Board in Brunswick, with each receiving more than 300 units.

Naloxone is widely recognized as an effective drug for reversing opioid overdoses, providing crucial assistance in emergency situations. This distribution reflects ongoing efforts to address the opioid crisis within the community.

Carter personally delivered the naloxone to each organization, emphasizing the importance of having this life-saving medication readily available.
