Georgia State Representative Will Wade said that the U.S. dollar has "lost 25%" in value under President Biden, that job creation numbers were "overstated" by 818,000, and that Vice President Harris is attempting to "put out the fire" she and Biden started. Wade made his statement in an August 22 post on X.

"The purchasing power of the US $ has lost 25% since the Biden-Harris Administration began," said Wade. "This statement falls very flat given that job creation figures were just updated to indicate they were overstated by 818k job. Only sector that went up was Government jobs. This tweet from VP Harris really seems like this vibe: I'm going to put out the fire I helped start with my friend Joe."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a preliminary revision to employment data indicates that job growth from April 2023 to March 2024 was oversaid by 818,000 jobs, approximately 0.5% of total nonfarm employment. This adjustment lowers the average monthly job growth from 242,000 to 174,000, marking a 28% decrease. The final revision will be released in February 2025.

Rep. Wade's post | x

Wade made his comment in response to Harris' post on X saying, "As President, I will grow our economy. And I’ll lower the cost of everyday needs like healthcare, housing, and groceries."

Representative Wade served as Chairman of the Dawson County Board of Education for 15 years, leading the county to become one of Georgia's first system-wide charter school systems. In his first term, Wade supported legislation on school choice, law enforcement pay raises, tax cuts, and anti-human trafficking measures. He also advocates for prohibiting gender transition procedures for minors, eliminating critical race theory from the curriculum, and giving parents involvement in their children's education. He represents Georgia’s 9th State House District and has focused on education and public safety according to the Will Wade State House webpage.
