Georgia State Representative Will Wade stated that "Americans are done with the Biden Administration" and require leadership that will prioritize national security, "secure our border," and deport "potential terrorists." Wade made his statement in a June 11 post on X.

"This is just one example of the reason why many Americans are done with the Biden Administration," said Wade. "Our families deserve leadership now in DC that will make our country safe, secure our border and deport these potential terrorists immediately."

Wade's comment was in response to a report by CBS News that federal investigators recently arrested eight Tajikistani nationals in the U.S. with alleged ties to ISIS. According to multiple officials confirmed by CBS News, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended these individuals in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia, and they are currently facing immigration charges. While there was no active terror plot, law enforcement became concerned based on information partly obtained through a wiretap after the individuals had entered the U.S., according to a report by CBS News.

"As the FBI and DHS have recently described in public and partner bulletins, the U.S. has been in a heightened threat environment," the FBI and Department of Homeland Security said in a statement, according to CBS News. "The FBI and DHS will continue working around the clock with our partners to identify, investigate, and disrupt potential threats to national security."

Representative Wade served as Chairman of the Dawson County Board of Education for 15 years, leading the county to become one of Georgia's first system-wide charter school systems. In his first term in the Georgia State House, Wade supported legislation on school choice, law enforcement pay raises, tax cuts, and anti-human trafficking measures. He represents Georgia’s 9th State House District and has focused on education and public safety, according to his State House webpage.
