  • Continuation of an existing sales tax
  • Projected to generate $20 million in revenue over a 5 year period for Lumpkin County and City of Dahlonega transportation projects
  • Much of the money collected is from visitors that make purchases here, which helps keep a lower property tax burden for property owners
  • Projects include:
    1. Joint project 
      • Hwy 9 / Auraria Rd / Torrington Rd Intersection Improvement
    2. Lumpkin County 
      • Road Paving & Striping
      • Road Maintenance Equipment
    3. City of Dahlonega 
      • Roads & Bridges Construction & Improvements
      • Sidewalks Construction & Improvements
      • Bicycle Paths Construction & Improvements

  • Projected to end in 2022
  • Will have generated approximately $15 million for Lumpkin County and City of Dahlonega transportation projects
  • Completed Projects Include:
    1. Joint project at Oak Grove Road & Hwy 19N
    2. 60+ miles of road resurfacing
    3. Road safety projects
    4. Road maintenance equipment purchases
