In a bid to bolster its presence in Georgia’s automotive landscape, Toyota Industries Corporation announced the establishment of a new $69 million manufacturing facility in Pendergrass. The move aims to create 250 jobs and produce DC-to-DC converters, which convert high voltage into low voltage for powering auxiliary equipment. (TIESNA), a branch of Japan-based Toyota Industries, specializes in developing and producing automobile-related components like car air-conditioning compressors and electronics for global car manufacturers. The company has operated out of Pendergrass since 2004, initially with TD Automotive Compressor Georgia, LLC (TACG) and then Toyota Industries Compressor Parts America, Co. (TICA) in 2012. These entities collectively sustain over 400 jobs in Jackson County.
