The City is launching its first-ever UC Citizen’s Academy to its residents beginning September 22, 2022, through November 17, 2022. The Academy will provide community members with knowledge of how the City operates and how laws are proposed. Participants will engage in several discussions and activities led by department leaders, City management, and elected officials.

The UC Citizen’s Academy will cover different facets of City government, such as:

Public Safety & Code Enforcement
Court Services
Fire Safety & Prevention
Community & Economic Development
Public Services
Parks & Recreation
City Administration (i.e., City Clerk’s Office, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Operations, and Utilities)

Attending the Citizen’s Academy is an excellent opportunity for UC residents to learn about the City where they live, work, play, and stay.

Registration is NOW OPEN through Friday, September 2, 2022. There is no cost to attend the UC Citizen’s Academy. Space is limited to 20 participants. For more information, please email us at contactuc@unioncityga.org
