Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) issued a statement regarding the recent advancement of a continuing resolution by House Republicans to fund the government until September 30, 2025. Carter emphasized the commitment of House Republicans to maintain government operations and support key programs.

"House Republicans are standing with veterans, children, and our community members by following through on our constitutional duty to keep the government open, ensuring that President Trump can continue enacting his historic mandate," Carter stated. He further urged Senate Democrats to align with public interests rather than opposing for political reasons: "It is now up to Chuck Schumer to decide whether Senate Democrats will stand with the American people or follow in their House colleagues’ footsteps by voting against key programs that uplift our friends and neighbors just to spite President Trump."

Carter also addressed opposition from House Democrats, stating, "Despite House Democrats’ attempt to disrupt the overwhelming will of the American people, House Republicans remain committed to fulfilling the mandate that we were given when we were sent back to Washington." He called on Senate Democrats to approve the Continuing Resolution: "It’s time for Senate Democrats to do the right thing and pass the Continuing Resolution."
