Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) has expressed his support for President Trump's recent joint address to Congress, marking the beginning of Trump's second term in office. Carter's statement highlights several key points from the address, emphasizing the administration's focus on American citizens and national priorities.

Carter remarked on President Trump's commitment to prioritizing Americans over illegal immigrants, asserting that it is "a new day in America." He noted the president's efforts to enhance American energy dominance, which he believes will contribute to a strong economy and reduce living costs for taxpayers.

In terms of foreign policy, Carter stated that Trump is restoring respect for the United States on the global stage and reaffirming its dedication to peace. Additionally, he praised Trump's initiatives aimed at addressing the fentanyl crisis by securing borders and holding those responsible accountable.

The congressman also commended Trump's actions towards reducing government waste and tackling federal debt, currently at $36 trillion. Furthermore, Carter pointed out measures taken by Trump regarding sports participation policies: "And, unlike Georgia's senators," he said, "he is ensuring that biological men are not allowed to compete in women's sports."

Reflecting on Trump's first 100 days of this term, Carter stated that the president has already begun fulfilling his mandate from 77 million voters who sought change in Washington D.C., describing it as a demonstration of his commitment to serving "We, the People."

Carter concluded with a summary of his sentiments: “Promises made, promises kept.”
