Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter, the Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, released a statement following the Senate's confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
“Making America Healthy Again starts with addressing our nation’s chronic disease epidemic, and Secretary Kennedy is an excellent choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services as it tackles this problem, which impacts 129 million people in the United States," Carter stated.
Carter emphasized that under his leadership, the Health Subcommittee would collaborate with President Trump and Secretary Kennedy to reduce chronic disease rates. He also mentioned efforts to combat fentanyl abuse and build a healthcare system prioritizing patients' health and well-being.
