Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter expressed his satisfaction following President Trump's signing of the Laken Riley Act into law. The legislation marks the first bill signed by President Trump and aims to address issues related to border security.

In a statement, Rep. Carter said, "Law and order is being restored in this nation. President Trump was sent to Washington with a mandate to secure our southern border, and he has already taken a critical step to do so by signing this bill into law." He further emphasized the significance of the act by stating, "Laken Riley deserved to be alive today, and this law will prevent another family from losing their child at the hands of someone who never should have been here in the first place. Promises made, promises kept."

The Laken Riley Act is intended to enhance measures for securing the southern border of the United States, reflecting one of President Trump's key commitments during his tenure.
