Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter has joined the Delivering Outstanding Government Efficiency Caucus (DOGE), a newly formed group focused on working with the Department of Government Efficiency to push forward legislation aimed at reducing waste, fraud, and abuse within government operations.
"The American people voted for change and that is exactly what President-elect Trump is delivering with the Department of Government Efficiency," stated Rep. Carter. "I am proud to join the Congressional DOGE Caucus and tackle the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse that defines our government’s bureaucracy. I ran my own business for more than thirty years and learned that you need two things to be successful: excellent customer service and fiscal responsibility. Our current government has neither. It’s time to change that."
President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead this new department, which aims to dismantle excessive government bureaucracy, reduce unnecessary regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure federal agencies impacting the American public.
