Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) extended his congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump following Trump's victory in the recent election. In a statement, Carter emphasized the role of Georgians in contributing to what he described as a historic win for Trump.
"Georgians showed up and helped deliver a historic victory for President-elect Donald Trump," Carter stated. He highlighted Trump's achievements during his previous term, particularly in lowering taxes and reducing the cost of living, which he believes led to Trump's re-election. Carter expressed optimism about working with Trump in the upcoming 119th Congress, focusing on economic adjustments, border security, international respect, combating the fentanyl crisis, restoring law and order, and promoting an America First agenda.
Residents of Georgia's First Congressional District interested in attending the inauguration are encouraged to apply for tickets by December 13, 2024. However, due to high demand, not all ticket requests may be fulfilled.
