White County High School had the highest enrollment among White County schools, welcoming 1,148 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53% of them were male, and 47% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 87% of the White County High School total enrollment.

Among the six schools in White County, White County Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 557 students, while Tesnatee Gap Elementary School welcomed 466 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

White County High School is part of White County School District, which generally encompasses schools within White County, with its main office in Cleveland.

In the previous school year, White County High School also had the highest number of students among White County schools.

While enrollment in Georgia inches closer to pre-pandemic levels, chronic absenteeism remains a serious challenge. In 2023, a significant portion of students (23%) missed 10% or more of their classes. Although this is slightly better than the peak of 25% in 2022, it's still nearly double the pre-pandemic rate of 13% recorded in 2019.
