Senate Bill 449 brings updates to the healthcare landscape by amending the definition of APRNs and revising licensure requirements. Starting September 1, 2025, APRNs will be required to renew their licenses every two years, with penalties for practicing without a valid license. The bill also establishes a specialized program to enable military medical personnel to obtain certification as healthcare professionals, streamlining their transition into critical roles.
