The Philip Wright award is an annual award given to an educator who is making an impact on students with disabilities in the school system. The award is named after Philip Wright, an educator who created a legacy of service in the area of special education. Philip Wright is the former director of the North Georgia Learning Resources System, an arm of the Pioneer RESA, which works with students with disabilities. Each school system served by Pioneer RESA selected someone who exemplifies service, respect, and advocacy for children with special needs.
Congratulations to Ms. Yvonne Teasley for being named the 2023 Franklin County Recipient of the Philip Wright Award. Ms. Teasley serves as a Special Education Teacher and In-School Special Education Coordinator at Franklin County High School.
