Please see the attachment for a public notice and detailed schedule for the departmental budget meetings that are going to be held throughout the day on Tuesday, March 28th, Wednesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 30th. These meetings are held so that each elected official, judicial officer, constitutional officer, and department head has an approximately 15- to 20-minute window to discuss their proposed operating budgets, capital budgets, position requests, etc.

 

This is an opportunity for members of the media and the public to get an inside look into the first steps in the process of developing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

 

Those hearings are held with department heads and are open to the public, however no public comments will be received.

 

These are not official board of commissioners’ meetings however some commissioners likely will be present throughout the process. In any event, no votes will be taken.
