U.S. Forest Service conducting controlled burn near Baldwin

Today the Chattooga River Ranger District will be conducting prescribed fire operations to remove hazardous fuels such as leaf litter, dead vegetation, and debris and to improve wildlife habitat. The 378 acre Allen Mountain prescribed burn will take place approximately 10 miles SW of Toccoa and 6 miles E of Baldwin, Ga.
