White County Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy

We are now accepting applications for our 2023 Citizens Law Enforcement Academy class. 

 

Applications may be picked up at the White County Sheriff's Office, or may be printed from the file at the bottom of this page. Notaries are available at the Sheriff's Office at no charge for this application. 

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023. Limited to 16 seats.

 

The White County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy is a free 6 week course that meets from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on consecutive Mondays (some classes may release after 8) starting Monday, March 27th and concluding on Monday, May 1st. 

The Academy is open to all White County residents, employees, and business owners age 21 and over.

The Academy provides students with hands-on training and law enforcement knowledge in a friendly environment.

The course is run by the White County Sheriff’s Office and all instructors in this program are White County Sheriff’s Office employees.   Topics include Constitutional law, conducting traffic stops, judgmental use of force, K9 and S.W.A.T. demonstrations, ride-along with deputies and much, much more.
