The Heart and Soul Gala Committee is proud to announce that BankSouth has signed up as an Advocate Sponsor of the 2023 Gala benefitting St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.

BankSouth has served the Greensboro-Lake Oconee community since its founding in 1946 in Greensboro as Citizens Bank by local citizens, including the Reynolds family. Today, BankSouth is a leading community bank in Georgia and has been nationally recognized on numerous occasions. BankSouth maintains banking offices in the Athens area, Savannah and Atlanta, along with its home and headquarters in the Lake Country. There are BankSouth Mortgage offices in its banking footprint and throughout Georgia and an office in South Carolina.

“We are proud to support yet another great event and initiative by St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital,” said Harold Reynolds, BankSouth Chairman and CEO. “With specialized services and innovative technology, St. Mary’s provides access to quality healthcare to the communities and citizens we serve in the lake area. The Heart and Soul Gala not only ensures the continuation of these efforts, but also brings together a group of people and organizations with a common love for our community and a commitment to a quality life for our neighbors and friends."

“The Heart & Soul planning committee is truly grateful for BankSouth for supporting our Gala,” said Sherri Kerstetter, chair of the Heart and Soul Gala Committee. "Their generosity will help elevate the care that St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital is able to provide our community."
