NGTC Foundation Awards Over $39,000 in Student Scholarships

The North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Foundation recently awarded over 70 scholarships totaling more than $39,000 for the fall 2022 semester. The scholarship recipients were composed of current NGTC students from all three campuses representing 25 different programs.

Scholarship recipients were invited to attend the Foundation’s Scholarship Social, where they received recognition and had the opportunity to interact with scholarship donors and members of the Foundation Board of Trustees.

“The Foundation’s Scholarship Social was a huge success and allowed us the opportunity to celebrate our students and express our appreciation to donors in an enjoyable environment,” said Amy Hulsey, NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing and Executive Director of the NGTC Foundation. “North Georgia Technical College and the NGTC Foundation are grateful for the support and generosity of our scholarship donors. These individuals and businesses afford us the opportunity to assure our students receive quality education.”

The NGTC Foundation offers award opportunities each semester from 55 scholarship funds, some of which award more than one scholarship. Students are expected to meet eligibility requirements and selection criteria, including a demonstrated financial need, as established by each individual scholarship. The Foundation’s scholarship application deadline for the spring 2023 semester is November 17, 2022. Applications must be submitted by the published deadline each semester.
