Dillard Inducted as Member of NGTC Board of Directors

North Georgia Technical College Board of Directors member Theresa Dillard of Mineral Bluff, Ga., was recently inducted by Judge Chan Caudell during the August Board of Directors meeting. Dillard has taken the place of Jane Brackett, who was recognized for 10 years of committed service earlier this year.

Dillard has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Georgia College (currently the University of North Georgia) as well as a master’s degree and specialist degree in Business Education from West Georgia College. She spent most of her career at Fannin County High School (FCHS) where she worked as a business education instructor from 1987 to 2008 and as the assistant principal of curriculum and instruction from 2008 to 2019.

“As a retired career technical teacher and administrator, I will always have a heart and passion for education,” said Dillard. “Being an NGTC Board member allows me the opportunity to promote post-secondary training while supporting the faculty and staff. I am looking forward to seeing life on the next level.”

As a lifelong resident of Fannin County, Dillard now spends her time volunteering in the community. She currently serves on the FCHS Academic Booster Club Board of Directors, the Copper Basin Federal Credit Union Supervisory Board and as secretary for the Fannin County Family Connection Board of Directors. Dillard is also a lifetime member of Williamstown Methodist Church where she serves as treasurer for the Women’s Group and assistant treasurer for the church. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering at the Learning Tree Academy.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Ms. Dillard to the NGTC Board of Directors,” said NGTC President John Wilkinson. “It is evident that she has a passion for education and improving the lives of others. We look forward to witnessing her impact on our community and our students.”
