Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Apr. 21.
In partnership with Lumpkin County High School, The Development Authority of Lumpkin County is pleased to announce Be Pro Be Proud GA is coming to Dahlonega May 16 - 17, 2022!

If your business would like to participate in the upcoming event and is in the following industries:
PLUMBING - COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING - WELDING - HEALTHCARE - AUTOMATION & ROBOTICS - COMPUTER PROGRAMMING - CAD/CAM DRAFTING - MACHINIST - CNC OPERATOR - ELECTRICIAN - DIESEL TECHNICIAN - CONSTRUCTION - WEB DEVELOPMENT - ELECTRICAL LINE WORKER
What to expect – Groups of students will be coming every 45 minutes throughout the day. You will be able to interact with students, local leaders and elected officials. Talk about your business and the local career opportunities your company offers, now and in the future. Similar to a tradeshow environment. You can anticipate 240 or more student visitors; kids do like swag.
Bring tools of the trade to grab the student’s attention, help initiate conversations and talking points. Think outside of the box – what could you bring that would demand attention and stand out?
Promote your company – what do you do & why is it important? How can a student have a career in your field? What would they need to do in order to get hired? Experience in the field, technical college, certification? Can a student achieve this while attending school, ready to join the work force upon graduation, i.e. internships, apprenticeships or work release partnership with the high school?
Build internship/work force partnerships with DALC & Lumpkin County High School.
