Atlanta Youth Academy issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
Each year our Middle School scholars work hard to present AYA's annual African American Living Wax Museum. This year’s theme, “Thank You for Your Service” honors the presence of African Americans in the military from the Civil War to present day. Each 6th, 7th, and 8th grader took the time select an African American member who has served or currently serves in the United States Armed Forces. These students worked incredibly hard to embody these United States service men and women as they came to life at the press of a button during AYA's official "Living Wax Museum Tours." These tours were led by our wonderful 5th Grade Docents that graciously guided guests through each exhibit hall.
