L.K. Moss Elementary School issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
On November 18, 2021 L.K. Moss hosted Family STEAM Night. The halls of LK Moss were filled with parents and children and it was such a welcomed sight!! Oxbow Meadows came with a snake, a turtle, and some other animal specimens. The gym was filled with stations that were provided by the Mobile Ed Production company. We were so fortunate that they were able to come to our school. Students were very excited to use 3D printers, learn about coding, and play with pendulums, stacking cubes and more. The 3D printers were a big hit with parents and kids alike and they even made an Eagle for us to keep at the school. Mrs. Heidi Goodin from RESA came and filled the lunchroom with lots of fun, hands-on, messy stations. We blew up balloons with chemical reactions, played with slime, exploding rockets, stacked cups, and much more. We even had a spot in the lunchroom to draw with sidewalk chalk on the floor! One of the highlights of the night was the silent auction. Cakes, sweet treats and decorations were highly sought after in a very competitive bidding war at the last moment. It was a great night and we appreciate everyone who made this a success.
