Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Visitors Bureau issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.
November 13th, Hancock Park, Dahlonega, Ga
To honor all Veterans, a group of U.S. Army Rangers are pleased to Sponsor this event. The day will begin with a 5k and 10K Charity run at Hancock park. Followed by a Half-Marathon at Camp Merrill an off road run that follows the same course as U.S Army Rangers. See onpoint1-1.us for registration details.
The Festival will begin at Hancock Park 12pm with Local musicians Zach Alexander, Jesse Williams, and Zach Haines ( Veteran and Purple Heart recipient). There will be food, and beer for sale along with ALL VETERANS EAT FREE during the event.
Special thank you to the local restaurants who have committed to providing veterans with a free entrée voucher that will be passed out to veterans throughout the event.
