Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Visitors Bureau issued the following announcement on Sept. 9.
Six Gap and LeMond Bicycles announced today that the companies have entered a strategic partnership that will nurture the rebirth of Six Gap and rebirth and regenerate the new era of the LeMond brand over the next 33 years.
The agreement brings Greg LeMond, an American cycling hero, a chance to have his new brand cut its teeth in and around Dahlonega, Ga. Six Gap is one of the most challenging mountainous courses with over 11,000 vertical feet and LeMond Bikes is the leading the way with their designs pairing with innovative technology.
Cyclists of Six Gap will now be able to elevate their experiences and gear with this partnership. The LeMond team will be at the Six Gap expo to discuss all things cycling. LeMond Bicycles will be presenting a winner of the raffle with their Ebike.

Greg LeMond – three-time winner of the Tour de France – has launched his eponymous bike brand. LeMond Bicycles launched sales in late 2020 with two distinctive Ebike models. Greg's road bike and new models are in development for 2022. LeMond's assembly and R&D facilities are located in Knoxville, TN.
