Lumpkin County issued the following announcement on July 16.
Beginning July 26 through the end of October, a section of Little Mountain Road will be closed for bridge replacement at Poverty Creek. Once replacement work begins, access to all properties east of the bridge will be from the Mill Creek area only; access to all properties west of the bridge will be from Hwy. 52 or Max Wehunt Road.
