Cost of college went up for all students at North Georgia Technical College

In-state tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at North Georgia Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $2,738 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $4 more than the $2,734 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 78 percent more than residents this year, or $4,874. Their price tag grew 0.1 percent from $4,870 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 91 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 333 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.9 million and 8 students took out student loans totaling more than $29,850.

Including all undergraduates (2,612), 2,394 students used grants or scholarships totaling $11.2 million.
