Riezl and Ted Baker have stepped up as Advocate Sponsors of the 2023 Heart and Soul Gala, an event benefitting St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital to be held at the Ritz Carlton, Reynolds Lake Oconee on Feb. 11, 2023.

The couple is no stranger to the event as they have been involved with the Gala since its inception. Riezl chaired the past three Galas and remains involved as the co-Chair for the 2023 Gala, and Ted has served as volunteer auctioneer for every event. The Bakers will also host Friday evening’s VIP Sponsor Reception at their lovely Lake Oconee home.

“I am truly humbled by the support we have received for the Gala, and I am very proud of our hardworking committee,” Riezl stated. “It is exciting to see how the event has evolved, with this year’s event selling out days after tickets were released for sale.”

Riezl has been a supporter and leader of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation from the very beginning. She joined the Foundation Board in 2012, served as Chair from 2018-2019, and remains active as a Board Member. She and Ted are also society members of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Foundation.

“The hospital transformed health care in our area, and continues to enhance our quality of life,”said Riezl. “I am grateful to have served alongside great leaders who are passionate about Good Samaritan Hospital and our community.”

“We are grateful to live in this wonderful community and believe that we have the responsibility to give back,” stated Riezl. “Good Samaritan Hospital is a cornerstone, and we will continue to support its mission to be a compassionate, healing presence in the community.”
