Rep. Will Wade, a Republican member of the Georgia State House representing the 9th District since 2021, posted a series of tweets on September 10, 2025, responding to the murder of Charlie Kirk in Utah.
In one post at 23:15 UTC, Wade shared an emoji-laden message: ” https://t.co/yL6dDYJuHG”.
Shortly after, at 23:27 UTC, Wade addressed the killing directly: “The murder of Charlie Kirk while speaking in Utah is horrific and unacceptable—an attack not only on him, but on the principles of free speech and civil discourse.
Violence is never justified. To stay silent is to accept evil, and I will not. I call on others to stand just as https://t.co/Wz5Oe9vOLn“.
Later that evening at 23:51 UTC, Wade posted another message referencing Kirk’s account: “Amen @charliekirk11 Amen! https://t.co/qQQKv1M7yg”.
Wade has served in the Georgia State House since his election in 2021 after succeeding Kevin Tanner. He has been an active voice for his district and party during his tenure.
