Rep. Will Wade, a Republican representing Georgia’s 9th House District since 2021, addressed recent violence against children and related cultural issues in a series of tweets posted between August 28 and August 30, 2025.

On August 28, Wade commented on the aftermath of violent acts targeting children: “Today’s senseless acts of violence against children is another painful reminder that a sickness of hatred continues to plague our communities. As I recently wrote in From ‘Me’ to ‘We’, we are witnessing the cost of a culture that has lost connection, commitment, compassion, and”.

Later that day, he elaborated on his perspective regarding causes behind such violence: “Those who promote the ideology of transgenderism to young people and ignore mental health challenges for the sake of wokeness bear responsibility for this violence. They may not pull the trigger, but their advocacy enables such acts.” Rep. Will Wade @JesseBWatters https://t.co/e1TvqeEQgJ.

In a lighter post on August 30 about personal relationships and football season, Wade wrote: “Agree- and if she loves her husband that loves college football that is the icing on the cake! . You and I are both very blessed. One might say we both out punted our coverage! #FootballSeasonIsHere https://t.co/81JM2RW2Oq”.

Wade was elected to Georgia’s State House in 2021 after replacing Kevin Tanner as representative for District 9.
