Habersham County had six gas stations selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.49 per gallon during the week ending Feb. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for regular gas in Habersham County averaged $2.58 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that regular gas was available at 24 of the 45 reported gas stations in Habersham County.
Statewide, regular gas averaged $2.66 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 21, down from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
