9/1/2022 LLC – Day 1: Leadership

10/6/2022 LLC – Day 2: Military Leadership

11/3/2022 LLC – Day 3: Community & Cultural Infrastructure

12/1/2022 LLC – Day 4: Communication

1/5/2023 LLC – Day 5: Economic Development Day

2/2/2023 LLC – Day 6: Local Government Day

3/2/2023 LLC – Day 7: Education Day

4/6/2023 LLC – Day 8: Public Safety Services Day

5/4/2023 LLC – Day 9: Tourism Day

5/11/2023 LLC – Graduation Dinner

Additional Requirements

  1. You can only miss two classes, more than that and you will not be considered as completing the course.
  2. Attend One meeting from each of the following governing bodies: Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners; City of Dahlonega City Council; Lumpkin County School Board.
  3. Perform 30 hours of volunteer work with non-profits located in Dahlonega-Lumpkin County, 12 of which will be completed with classmates.

Selection for the class

Applications are accepted from 1 June to 17 July. Not everyone that applies will be accepted based on class size. The DLC Chamber Board of Directors will select the class at the 21 July Board of Directors Meeting. You will be notified by 22 July if you have been accepted into the class.

Tuition

Tuition is $500. We plan to offer a payment plan this year, more details to follow.
