City Staff Commended for Winter Weather Preparations

City Staff Commended for Winter Weather Preparations
0Comments

The City of Dahlonega Roads, Wastewater and Collections staff worked diligently over the holidays to ensure that our infrastructure was protected against the extreme winter temperatures. As the temperatures dropped dangerously low, city staff worked through the night to prepare our water and sewer lines as well as our streets. Because of their work, Dahlonega did not face some of the hardships that other municipalities experienced. We were able to avoid any boil water advisories and dangerous road conditions. The City Council is extremely grateful and appreciative of staff’s hard work during this time.

If you did experience pipe leakage due to the winter weather, you are eligible to complete a request for adjustment on your utility account. Please follow the link below to access the form. As always, feel free to call Dahlonega City Hall at (706) 864-6133 with any questions. Happy New Year!
