The City of Toccoa will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, February 17, 2023. The ceremony will be held at Paul Anderson Park at 10:00 am. The community is invited.

Arbor Day began in 1872 at the suggestion of J. Sterling Morton as a day set aside for tree planting and conservation of the earth’s resources. Toccoa has been a Tree City USA community since 2004. Tree City USA is thriving in Georgia because of the strong partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation and the Georgia Forestry Commission. Toccoa is proud to be one of 112 certified Tree City USA communities in the state.
