Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) has successfully secured $4.78 million for the Georgia Department of Transportation to improve the I-95 interchange at Belfast Keller Road. This funding, part of the Fiscal Year 2024 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, aims to support the joint effort between the City of Richmond Hill and Bryan County to enhance Belfast Keller Road from a two-lane rural road to a four-lane industrial-commercial road.

"As Bryan County continues to grow, it’s critical that we update our roads so that residents can easily get where they need to go. With this funding, Richmond Hill will be able to adapt and handle the influx of people and businesses calling it home," said Rep. Carter.

Bryan County Chairman Carter Infinger also emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure to accommodate the county's growth, stating, "The funding secured by Rep. Carter to support the widening of Belfast Keller Road is a crucial step in ensuring our roads can accommodate the increasing population and business activity. By widening Belfast Keller Road, we are laying the foundation for a thriving and accessible community that meets the needs of our residents and businesses alike."
